Jesus Corona more commonly known as Jesse suffered from a significant hemorrhagic stroke on Sunday, June 6, 2021. A hemorrhagic stroke is when a blood vessel in the brain bursts and bleeds into the brain creating swelling as well as suffocating and killing brain cells. There was significant damage to the right side of his brain which effected his complete left side that now has little to no muscle control, vision, and mobility. We have also come to find out that he has in fact suffered two previous strokes prior to this that went completely undetected. Consequently, some damage was already present in the brain due to those other two episodes.
It's been an incredibly scary experience but each day Jesse is showing more and more progress and I am finally encouraged that although I know we have a long journey of recovery ahead of us, Jesse has every opportunity to rebuild what was lost. Not to mention, his whit is brighter than ever, dropping one liners and cracking jokes, making the most out of a very tragic situation. Above everything else he's dealing with, his biggest struggle is being away from his beautiful 19-month-old baby girl who is his everything and his main source of motivation. He’s shown incredible strength throughout this entire experience and I couldn't be more inspired and proud of him.
As of now, Jesse will be transferred to a stroke rehabilitation center in Long Beach, CA. For anyone wanting to visit, I will post all that information when I have it. Accepting that our lives are forever changed, we are now hopeful for an even better new start at life. We are honored to have you be apart of that journey.
This fundraiser is to provide support for Jesse's road to recovery and support to the family during these tough times. Thank you so much for all the love and support.
