Dennis Painter Family Memorial Fund
Dennis Shane Painter, 45 of Hopewell, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Wallace Painter.
Dennis was a United States Army veteran of 24 years; he served his country overseas in Iraq and Kuwait and achieved numerous medals for his service. He was a member of a charity riding club that supports Autism, the Sons of Dominion Motorcycle Club and loved to ride his motorcycle. He was also an avid football fan always supporting his hometown team the Chicago Bears. Dennis had a passion for life with a larger than life personality.
He is survived by his wife, Kristie Painter; daughter, McKenzie Painter; son, Cody Painter; mother, Sandra Painter; brother, Chad Painter and wife, Kristie; sister, Leigh Bris and husband, Shad; sister-in-laws, Dawn Amos and husband, Bobby, Kasie Conley, Rhonda Ellis and Nikki Conley; his military brothers and a large extended family.
A service will be held, 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2016 at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 W. Broadway Hopewell, VA.23860, where the family will receive friends after the service until 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations are made to support the family through this difficult time to help pay for the funeral costs and additional needs.
