Lynne & family's Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
A single mother and her son and daughter have lost their apartment and the majority of its contents to a fire when lightning struck their roof.
Having your home and belongings deemed a "total-loss" after a fire is devastating. Working together as a team, we can help Lynne, Jared, and Dakota begin to rebuild their lives and afford a new place to call home. Insurance is covering some of the costs, but will not be enough to replace many of their belongings.
July 14, 2016: Lightning strikes the roof, starting the fire.

As a single mother, Lynne not only works full-time but also runs the local youth leadership program (the Northern Kentucky Young Marines unit) where she volunteers her time and talent to help young kids become leaders in the community.
Her son Jared is a 2016 graduate of Dixie Heights High School. He is a former Young Marine, a Lacrosse player, and has been preparing diligently for entrance into Marine Corps bootcamp.
What's more, his sister Dakota is currently away from home, training with the United States Coast Guard. As a former Young Marine, anytime she is home she is also volunteering her time to help the youth of the Northern Kentucky YM unit. She has lost all of her belongings that were in the apartment as well.
Pictured below is Dakota, left, currently in training with the U.S. Coast Guard. Jared, center, a former Young Marine (as part of a youth program) seen holding a friend's son. And Lynne, right, their dedicated mother.

The Young Marines program does so much good for young kids because of adult volunteers like Lynne who dedicate hundreds of hours of their time freely.
Please consider making a donation to help Lynne and her two young adults get back on their feet and moving forward in life. This family does so much for others and asks for nothing in return. It is our turn to help and make a difference. Thank you so much.
