Accident Recovery Campaign
Donation protected
On the morning of 9 July 2016, Scott Nesbitt was on his way to work. However, only a couple miles outside of town, he was involved in a major accident that totaled the car and sent him briefly to the hospital.
Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. And insurance is covering the majority of expenses: medical bills, repair for the other vehicle involved, payment of the outstanding balance on the Nesbitt car loan, etc.
Of course, after the proverbial dust settled, Scott and Stephanie Nesbitt determined there are additional costs (all related to getting beyond this experience) that exceed their immediate resources. The total of $5,000 is only an estimate, but it is based on the following rough calculations:
1. Insurance Deductibles ($1500)
2. Remaining Car Loan - the amount above the value paid by the main insurance policy and gap coverage limits ($2000)
3. Cash for a new vehicle ($1500)
We don't wish to burden any of our friends or family for loan amounts that they, themselves, might not be able to spare. We also don't have any expectation that the total amount of our need can, will, could, or should be covered by others.
However, if a few of you choose to donate a small sum, it would help us tremendously in overcoming this present turmoil. Our gratitude will be endless for anything and everything you choose to spare.
Furthermore, this is our solemn promise to you: for every dollar we receive, we shall donate the same amount within the year to a worthy cause in each of your names.
Love and appreciation from us both,
Scott and Stephanie
