Hi my name is Elizabeth and I'm creating a go fund me account for a very dear friend. I have decided to reach out to our friends and family to support her family in their time of need. Below is a short biography of what they have been going through.
"Hello my name is Stacey, I am the mother of Brianna with a special heart condition, called transposition of the greater arteries. Where the two main arteries on her heart were reversed when she was born, Causing her to lose oxygen. I repeatedly took her to the pediatrician in worry telling her somethings wrong. My baby keeps throwing up everything she eats.The dr kept telling me she was fine. By the third time she had gotten sick I noticed her complexion was becoming darker. I rushed her back to the pediatrician and told her I wanted to be reffered. We waited until our appointment on Monday and as soon as I layed my daughter down on the cartiologist table her exact words were " did you know your baby's purple?" I lost it.. we were care flighted from the Reno Nevada hospital to the sunrise children's hospital in Las Vegas Nevada. That's where her story all started. At 16 days old she was diagnosed with rsv a respritory virus. Her open heart surgery had to be postponed. She finally had her open heart surgery, and she died twice... the drs didn't know why. It was our next visit to vegas when they discovered why.. she was allergic to the blood thinner they gave her during surgery"heparin." Brianna has had countless procedures since then. The Drs say she won't be done with surgery until between the ages of 15 and 30, when her body is done growing. There are no words that could ever describe my hearts pain for her. She simply doesn't understand why she has to go through this. Brianna is now 8 years old. She had her last procedure July 15 2016. The goal was to blow up her Stent that is broken to open it up all the way. It was unsucessful. Our next step is another open heart surgery, as this is our only option. We can only pray and hope for the best, for her!"
In doing this we hope to help raise money to relieve the stress of finances so stacey and her family can be focused on Brianna during this time. Finances include (travel expenses, hotel stay, food and more.)
