Please support The Evans Family, who lost their home, loved one, and all belongings to a fire this July.
Ellie Evans, who is a kind, giving, and selfless woman - always putting the needs of others before her own- lived in this home with her husband Bill, her son David, her daughter-in-law Melissa, and her grandson Ethan.
While Ellie was vacationing in Florida (something she rarely does), she received calls and text messages from loved ones that her house was on fire. The news only grew worse, as she soon received a call from the coroner that her husband, Bill, had died. He was napping at the time the fire started and had a heart attack trying to escape. Devastated, Ellie immediately returned to PA where she found her home of 45 years along with all the belongings & sentiments inside completely destroyed.
Ellie is currently staying with her brother and her son, daughter, and grandson are being temporarily put up at the Hampton Inn. Friends & family are working hard to try and help The Evans Family pick up the pieces and rebuild their life and we ask anyone that can help to please do so.
Donations to this page have been set up to go directly into The Evan's Family bank account. If you prefer to mail a check you can send it to: Mauch Chunk Trust Co. - Evans Fire Fund PO Box 289 Jim Thorpe, PA 18229.
On August 7th there will be a basket raffle & bake sale at Phifer's Ice Dam in Lehighton, PA from 11am - 3pm. Anything you can donate will be appreciated. Please contact Vanessa Scott at (610) [phone redacted] or Debbie Fisher (610) [phone redacted] to find out what is needed.
If nothing else, please share this page with your friends, family, and community to help us spread the word and reach as many people as possible.
