Hi, my name is Zach, and I’d like to share the story of my beloved dog, Biscuit.
Biscuit isn’t just a pet — she’s my daughter, my best friend, and the heart of my home. She’s young, full of energy, and has a gentle soul that brings joy to everyone she meets.
Recently, Biscuit faced a terrifying and life-threatening ordeal. A kidney stone had formed and became lodged in her ureter, causing it to rupture. This led to urine leaking into her body, spreading infection and leaving dangerous abscesses on her internal organs. It all happened so fast — and I was faced with the hardest decision of my life.
Emergency surgery was the only option to save her. During the operation, Biscuit had to have her kidney, uterus, and ovaries removed. To make matters worse, her remaining kidney became infected shortly after. The following days were agonizing, but thanks to the incredible team at Westway Vets, Biscuit pulled through.
After three intense days in the hospital, I’m overjoyed to say she’s finally home with me again.
The total cost of her treatment came to just under £6,000. While I would do it all over again in a heartbeat — because you can't put a price on the life of someone you love — it has left me financially overwhelmed. I’ve had to rely on credit to cover the costs, and now I’m asking for a little help to manage those payments.
Anything you can give — no matter how small — will go directly toward Biscuit’s care and recovery. If we’re lucky enough to raise more than the cost of treatment, the remainder will support her ongoing health and rehabilitation.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading our story. Biscuit and I are so grateful for your kindness, and we’re looking forward to many more happy years together.
With love,
Zach & Biscuit
