The story of Victoria Grace.

It was with great excitement and love that my wife and I found out we would be pregnant with our second child. We could not wait for our newest addition. Unfortunately the feelings of joy soon became feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. During our gender ultrasound at 18 weeks a cyst was discovered in the baby's brain. That baby is Victoria Grace.

After being referred to an ultrasound specialist whom later confirmed the cyst, the long and anguishing road started. Further follow ups as the weeks went by revealed signs of hope and signs of trouble.

At week 26 a fetal MRI was ordered. One week later we received the results. It's a moment that will forever define our lives. Time stood still. The MRI revealed our worst fears:

The cyst most likely caused further developmental damage to the brain while it was developing. She was diagnosed with Dandy Walker Syndrome and Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. Individually these brain disorders are extremely rare and only occur in less then 1% of pregnancies. Our child had both.

3 weeks later, our sweet and beautiful baby girl was lost.

This page has been created in loving memory of Victoria Grace. With our tragedy and heartbreak we want to raise awareness of these rare brain disorders so that maybe one day, a family like ours won't have to suffer the loss of a child.

ALL proceeds will be donated to the following charities:

-The Dandy Walker Alliance
-National Organization for Disorders of the Corpus Callosum
