Hello my brothers and sisters in Christ, I am Tatyana Snegirev. I’m blessed to have been baptized in the Orthodox Church for over a year. My mission is to achieve my Bachelors in Theology, this will be the catalyst to living a life pleasing to God. Like most children, I have been painting since I was 3 years old. However my love for art followed me into adulthood. My entire life I have had a desire to paint our saviour. But growing up I was led to believe that this was not an option for me. My heart is full of joy since a door that was once closed is now open. Through much prayer I now find myself at the steps of the Saint Photios Orthodox Theological Seminary. This requires me to relocate internationally in a short amount of time. I humbly ask your assistance with my residual financial commitments so that I can put all of my focus on school and get the best impact of knowledge possible.

Icons are the windows to paradise through which the Holy Trinity and the saints work miracles and intercede for us. Icons are vital to the Orthodox faith for many reasons, some of which are creating the spiritual atmosphere for prayer and bringing unity to churches all across the world. I want to master iconography and properly depict what each icon represents. When I first started studying icons I had discovered how much meaning there was behind them. It is incredible how one single painting can hold an entire life story. To be able to depict the very essence of these holy Saints is my true goal, and to share it with people like you who are deserving of that very blessing. I want with my whole heart and soul to create icons.
