Support the Sylvester Family

Hello, 

I am raising money for the Sylvester family.   Joshua Sylvester is a fellow Hospice Chaplain, and classmate of mine, who was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis when he was in the Air Force. For those afflicted with UC, you know how challenging this disease is. Joshua was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in February of 2020. Every pet scan from that point on showed significant, improvement, even miraculous improvement, his doctors said. By thanksgiving, his scans were reading clear and normal. But the following scan toward the end of February 2021 showed that the cancer had returned. It has progressively worsened since then, and he’s finally reached the end of his fight where he’s ready to go home; ready to walk with the Lord. Joshua passed away June 5, 2021.  He was 42.  

Joshua and his wife, Jamie, met in 2003, and married August 19, 2006. Deep down, Jamie always knew they would be married; Joshua was the one.  

Joshua and Jamie have five kids; Dahlia 14, Aurellia 12, Aurora 10, Harrison 6, and Hudson 3.

As Hospice Chaplain‘s we are the strength for the weak, we bring calmness to chaos, we are the silent presence for the grieving. Joshua gave all of himself to families who were losing their loved one - I invite you to give a little bit of yourself to a grieving family and pay it forward in the most beautiful way.
