Love for Lilah
Donation protected
On February 1, 2021 Lilah was enjoying a normal day at the park with friends and family when she unexpectedly collapsed. Not knowing what had happened, Lilah and her mom Lesli were rushed to the hospital by ambulance and then life-flighted to Billings. After some initial screenings in Billings, it was determined that Lilah had suffered a stroke, which is very rare for someone her age.
Lilah and mama are now in Salt Lake City. Lilah's vitals are stable, but she hasn't been able to speak and is unable to walk. Her initial diagnosis is focal cerebral angiopathy (FCA) which is an inflammation in the blood vessel that leads to the stroke area. They are continuing with more tests to confirm the diagnosis and make sure her heart is ok.
No one is sure of the long-term outlook at this point, but there will undoubtedly be medical and other expenses related to Lilah's care and stay in Salt Lake City, and future therapy appointments. Anything you are willing to donate will be graciously accepted. If you are not in a position to donate, all we ask is you repost or forward this on.
The Hawkins family has been a part of our lives since 2019 when Lesli started caring for our children. They are an amazing, adventurous crew and they have become like family to us. They bring a calm and loving spirit to our days and treat our children like their own. Please help if you can!
