Choral Risers for Capital Region Rock Voices Choir

Good Morning Rock Voices!
The past 15 months have been like none other in the group’s history. We’ve successfully pivoted to an albeit temporary, all-virtual model. We’ve continued raising funds for the Rock Voices organization by way of enrollment, karaoke contest submissions, shirt sales, and donations. One of you even started an incredibly generous GoFundMe to directly benefit me and my family in this time of uncertainty. The community that exists because of Rock Voices is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I am so thankful for all of you!
As many of you know, every in-person season we rent choral risers from the Capitaland Chorus for our season-ending concerts. All along, the dream has been to eventually own our own set of risers, allowing us to be more independent when we book our concerts. While the timing may not be perfect, as we are still very much on-hold for in-person choir, the Capitaland Chorus has asked us if we’d like to purchase their risers, as they are planning to invest in a new set.
This is an enormous financial undertaking, one that Rock Voices as an organization cannot consider at this time. Tony suggested I reach out to all of you, to see if we could crowdfund the purchase.
The total cost to purchase the risers is $2800. The risers will also need to be stored. If anyone has storage space they'd consider volunteering for the time being, that would be incredible. The rental of a storage locker in itself is a significant annual cost that we can't afford right now.
The ability to supply our own risers for our shows will make my life much easier, and there will never be a question as to whether we can get risers to begin with.
