I've started this go fund me account for my father. He was recently in a major motorcycle accident. Luckily, most of the injuries he suffered will heal completely, but he does have a good amount of rehab ahead of him. It's something he's accepted and is prepared to do. Knowing him, I'm not surprised. He's a man with a strong will and has proven that many times over the past couple years. This accident is the most recent in a string of unexpected health issues. Although it hasn't been easy, he has made it through all of them. So, it's safe to say I have faith in his ability to bounce back from this one. But after spending time with him since the accident I've realized that his injuries aren't the only issues he's now faced with. He's now dealing with the financial burden of this accident. Beside the obvious in medical bills, he now is being told the cost of his totaled motorcycle will not be covered. I know this was devastating for him to hear considering he loved that bike more than me. Now he is not only dealing with his health but also the stress of being a single father facing a financial battle. Even though he'll never ask for help himself, I feel like he needs and deserves a little help right now. This is why I've decided to try a go fund me. I figured if people can get help funding their vacations and plastic surgeries, then why not a little help to someone who actually deserves it.
