Support Joe King & family
My husband Joe is unable to work because of the rapid decline of his health. His mind and body have struggled with his Type 1 diabetes for 35+ years and now is becoming more difficult to manage. He was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and neuropathy in 2015 and since then has had increased, debilitating pain.
Joe is a proud, strong man who did not miss much work in his past. He has been unable to work since October 2015. In May 2016, his company fired him after his short term disability expired.
Pain riddles his body daily and getting out of his chair is all he can physically do most days.
My salary is not enough to support our family, including our home, medical bills, and groceries. His social security disability has been denied and we are currently working with an attorney to appeal this decision. Our attorney says this process can take 9 to 15 months or longer. Without the disability income we can't pay all of our bills (home and medical) or keep Joe's many prescriptions filled.
It is difficult to ask for help and as many of you know, the Kings are a proud family but this is beyond balancing our budget. We could lose everything we have worked so hard for in our 28 years of marriage.
Many of you have asked how you can help us and we felt this was the best way you could support us.
We are asking you to help us bridge our financial gap until our appeal is heard and God willing Joe's social security disability is approved.
Thank you for anything you can do to help our family including your continued prayers and support.
Love,
Kathy and family
