My niece Amanda Wagner and Rick Wagner's first born precious little girl Sophia has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the young age of twelve weeks.
Sophia's father's loving words: "Two days ago we were passing our daughter around to friends and family at a family picnic. This afternoon, we had to hand our 12 -week old bumblebee, Sophia, to the helicopter unit to children's hospital in Phila. We never want any parent to have the thought process that we've had the last 12 hours that we might not be able to see her do all the things we couldn't wait to see her do. Age and white blood counts are factors on success rates as Leukemia in infants are rare but they do not know why and how it happens. She seems to be responding to treatment but this will be the beginning of a long journey."

We as a family are heartbroken over this devastating news. Sophia's family will have many medical bills and travel expenses while they are caring for their sick child. Please donate to the Baby Sophia Medical Fund so we can ease the burden for this beautiful family.
