As most of you know; Jasen is a single parent who's children are his life. He owns his own home and provides for his children; Korbin who is six and Kylie who is four on his own. Jasen has a lot of pride and doesn't like to ask for help. (Korbin and Kylie's mom passed away last year suddenly)
With Jasen's permission; I have set up a GoFundME account for him. As most of you know; it's hard to keep up with bills on an everyday budget with two incomes for every day bills; never mind on a single income, two kids, and now a long hospital ride from Kennebunk to Boston; over night stays; two surgeries within twenty- four hours; the need for physical therapy and who knows what other kind of care Korbin is going to need later down the road.
As most of you know, last night (07/14/2016) Korbin was playing up stairs with his sister when he fell on a glass mug that was broken. The mug pretty much cut his palm in half, diagonally, but not through the bone. He has nerve and tendon damage; and at this point, not sure what other type of damage that he has. While trying to stop the bleeding and work with calming both kids down last night, he went out side and yelled for help. His neighbors came over and helped with Kylie, until friends Jim and Carey came to pick her up for the night; and and Jasen and Korbin went into the ambulance for what would be the start of a long night.
From Jasen's home in Kennebunk; they took the ambulance to the Children's Hospital in Boston. Although Korbin was/is on Morphine; he was still in a lot of pain; and after a long night, with painful exploration testing and x-rays, Korbin went into his first surgery of the day at 7am this morning; to get the intial clean up/temporary closure until his next surgery which is scheduled at 1pm this afternoon.
At this point, they are transferring Korbin and Jasen to Waltham so that surgery can take place at 1pm today.
Please keep Korbin in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time for this six year old little boy.
At this time, we are looking for donations to help defray the cost of medical bills that are going to start coming in shortly after his hospital stay and surgeries. No dollar is too small; I know that Jasen will greatly appreciate this.
I will keep the site updated with new updates. Please share this with family and friends so Jasen can concentrate on getting Korbin the care he needs.
Thank you for your help and support.
