Alyssa's Adventure!

My name is Alyssa. I have recently made the most adult decision of my life, to legally dissolve my marriage in favor of life, happiness, and adventure. 



I want to experience what this marvelous world has to offer me and I am starting now. I have booked airline tickets to travel the world I never thought I would see. In a short three months, I will be traveling to the Middle East and Africa, visiting places that I have never been before. 

Petra! For as long as I've known of it's existence, I have been drawn to this place, a city carved in stone. Images of the Treasury have had a pull on me for years and now I will see it with my own eyes. Too nearby to miss, the Red Sea and snorkeling colorful coral reefs, Wadi Rum and the middle eastern desert, canyoneering Wadi Mujib, Jordan's Grand Canyon.

Ethiopia! I have been lucky enough to visit Ethiopia three times in the last two years, traveling on humanitarian missions. I have made dear friendships with people in the capitol city, Addis Ababa, and in areas south. I have never traveled north, but soon, this will no longer be true. I have booked an overland tour of the northern region, desert castles, stone churches legend tells were carved by angels, the Blue Nile waterfalls, boat tours on Lake Tana, mountains... 

This feels like my bucket list trip, but I have no plans to kick the bucket any time soon. I am going to live this life to it's fullest, from now to forever. 

I am eternally grateful for this new energy, for the opportunities that now lie for me ahead. I am beyond words.
