2 weeks ago my entire life got turned upside down. To give you a little back story my name is Cheyenne Bassham I am a new mother of a 2 month old son and stepmother in a beautiful blended family. I am married to my amazing husband Eugene Bassham, who has been my biggest support system through becoming a new mother and dealing with postpartum . We were both EMT/ Firefighters before I made the decision to join the Air Force. Since then we left all of our family behind in Georgia and Tennessee to be stationed on the opposite coast. Due to my husband protecting our 2 month old and himself he is now trying to prove his innocence so he can come back home. Leaving me to care for our new born son on my own. My maternity leave is ending and I now have to find a way to take care of our children without my loving husband by my side. With no family for miles. I am due to return to work full time in the military as well as figure out childcare for my child without my husband. So I’m here to ask my family, friends, love ones and anyone who will read my story and relate for any assistance possible. This GoFundMe is to help me keep a stable home, a roof over our children’s heads while insuring they are properly cared for while I work full time. My postpartum was doable having my husband by my side but now to be doing this alone I worry on how to manage on my own. I am standing by my husband side as we fight for justice but I ask for assistance in helping me keep the life of my children’s going while we deal with such a severe situation.
