Fighting Colorectal Cancer – Help with Medical Expenses
Hi, my name is Tammy, and I’m reaching out for support during the most difficult year of my life.
On September 23, 2024, I went in for a routine colonoscopy. When I woke up, my doctor delivered the news no one wants to hear — he had found a mass, and he believed it was colorectal cancer. Just two days later, on September 25, a biopsy confirmed it was stage 2 adenocarcinoma.
My treatment plan began immediately.
I underwent radiation therapy in October
Started chemotherapy in November, and completed my final chemo session on March 5, 2025
In April, scans showed the tumor had shrunk significantly, but it wasn’t completely gone
On June 23, 2025, I had major surgery to remove the mass
Thankfully, the pathology confirmed the cancer had not spread to my lymph nodes
While the outcome is hopeful and I’m incredibly grateful to be in recovery, the financial toll has been overwhelming.
Even with insurance, the cost of radiation, chemotherapy, surgery, ongoing prescriptions, and time off work has created a heavy financial burden. I’ve been out of work for 6 weeks recovering from surgery and will continue to undergo monitoring every three months to ensure the cancer doesn’t return.
This GoFundMe was created to help cover:
Out-of-pocket medical expenses
Prescription medication
Recovery-related costs during time off work
Future scans and follow up appointments
If you're able to donate or share this page, it would mean the world to me. Every bit helps more than you know — and I’m so grateful for the love, support, and encouragement I’ve received along the way.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
With gratitude,
Tammy and Brian Kincer
