Mandis live kidney donor.

My name is Armando Montes, a few months ago I decided to donate my kidney to my friend Nick. For some time, I had seen Nick battle with his health, having to go to dialisis, and many times having to be hospitalised, but I never realised that what he needed was a kidney. When I learned that a kidney would make all the difference in Nicks life, I thought to myself why can't I be the one to help him out in his time of need. Jesus said in John 15:30 "There is no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend" Although, I know I am far from laying my life down, I strive every day to be more like Jesus.
After getting our first blood work done, I found it very curious that Nick and I are compatible!!!
I just love the way God works things out! We still need a few more test done to determine the date for the transplant, but it is a done deal. Both him and I are ready. The hospital where we will have the surgery done is, "The Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital" in San Antonio. I am raising money for the 6 to 8 weeks of recovery I will not be working. As you know bills don't stop coming in and a family of four has its expenses.

Mi nombre es Armando Montes. Hace algunos mese decidí donar mi riñón a mi amigo Nick. Por mucho tiempo lo mire batallando con su salud. Cansado después de ir a su diálisis y muchas veces hospitalisad. Nunca me di cuenta que lo que Nick necesitaba ere un riñon. Cuando caí en cuenta que un riñón haría toda la diferencia en la vida de Nick, dándole una oportunidad de una vida más plena y tal vez más larga, me dije a mi mismo, por que no yo el que ayude a mi amigo en su necesidad. Como dijo Jesús en Juan 15:30 "No hay mayor amor que el que da su vida por un amigo." Yo se que me falta muchísimo para llegar al punto de dar mi vida, pero mi anhelo diario es poder llegar a ser mas como Jesus.
Después de los primeros estudios y análisis, fue de gran sorpresa y confirmación a mi vida, que Nick y yo somos comatibles!!! Me encanta la forma en que Dios obra!! Aún nos faltan unos cuantos estudios mas, para determinar la fecha para la cirugia, pero ya es un hecho que esto se hará. Ambos Nick y yo ya estamos listos!! El hospital donde se llevará acabo esto es "Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital" en San Antonio, TX. Estoy recaudando fondos, para las 6-8 semanas de recuperacion, en las que no podre trabajar. Como bien saben los recibos y responsabilidades de pagos no se detienen, y una familia de cuatro tiene gastos.
