David Joseph Irwin
Donation protected
Today our beloved friend, son and fiance, David Joseph Irwin, was laid to rest surrounded by his family and friends. The day was filled with a high level of emotion and overwhelming support as we said farewell to an amazing individual. Looking at the photos of the service, you can see the grief and sense of great loss in everyone's faces. For those who weren't able to attend, I've attached pictures and videos so you can share and reflect upon the devastating and life altering loss.
I would like to personally THANK all of you who have found it your hearts to help the Irwin family with your donations and for those of you that have shared David's GoFundMe link. I would like to keep this campaign going for another week so that we can continue to share and collect for the Irwin's to help relieve the financial burden of laying to rest their loved and dearly missed son, David. All donations are welcome no matter what the amount. If you've been wanting to but haven't had the chance to donate yet, this is your opportunity. This is about helping a family in need and paying last respects to a great man.

Hello my name is Jason Currie. I've opened this Go Fund Me Page to help with funeral expenses for the family of my friend, David Irwin.
David was riding his motorcycle home from Salinas, CA on Monday the 11th when tragically he was involved in an accident that took his life. David was only 27 years old and had his entire life ahead of him. He was a determined and driven young man who was destined for great things. He was passionate about his family, his friends, and his motorcycles. And above all, the willingness to make himself a better individual.
Below is a letter to David written by his heartbroken mother after his untimely and tragic passing. No one can prepare a family for such a life changing event and anything that can be donated will help David’s family lay their son to rest in the manner which he deserves. A hero isn't made in the way in which he died, but in the way he lived his life. David was our hero. Please help us give David the funeral he deserves.

"My son, my heart is beyond repair, oh how I miss you! I keep waiting for you to come home and walk through the door. I cannot get it out of my head that that will never happen again and it is tearing me to pieces. Son I miss you, love you and I want you home where you belong with the rest of your family. Everyone's hearts are broken with the news of your passing. You are loved by many and I feel the love from all of them. We were finally able to see you yesterday; all I could say to you was "David wake up its time to come home". God granted me with 4 beautiful kids and yes I protected you all with everything I had. It breaks my heart that I couldn't protect you from this. Oh David, it’s just unthinkable that physically we will never be able to love, hug, talk, get mad and everything else that we did as a whole. I was so proud of the man you became, you knew what you wanted out of life and you ran with it! I don't want to let you physically leave me, I wasn't ready, that's not how it's supposed to work, son. I didn't want to let you go yesterday, I wanted to hold you and make you better! It pains me beyond anything that I have ever experienced that I wasn’t there to hold you that day and tell you everything will be OK. That you were all alone, I wanted to tell you how much I loved you. I wanted to hold you; I wanted to make it better cuz that's what mom's do! I will always hold you close to my heart, I love you son and I am so blessed and privileged that God chose me to be your mom! "
