Tom Perreira is a loving, hardworking husband, father, brother, son and friend who was involved in a horrible motorcycle accident on Saturday, July 9th. He was riding down a backroad near Clear Creek when a deer jumped out behind a bush and with no time to react, my dad broad-sided the deer and rolled 8-10 times off the side of the road.. The deer was killed instantly and his bike was in pieces. He was rushed to the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, CA by ambulance and has been in the ICU ever since. There, doctors discovered that he has 9 broken ribs, a fully collapsed right lung, a left lung that was partially collapsed, a broken scapula, a broken clavicle, many fractures and cracks in his ribs, a fracture next to his clavicle, and bad road rash. We just ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I've never met someone so strong, so selfless, so hard-working, and so willing to drop everything to help a complete stranger. He hasn't complained once since he's been here, despite everything he is going through. He is still in the ICU and is getting better little by little, but his recovery has just begun. As Tom's daughter, I am asking for help (and my parents are people who never ask for anything and who I asked beforehand if I could do this for them since the hospital bills will add up quickly). Anything will help. All I want is for my parents to not worry about bills and expenses, but instead to focus on healing and recovering fully so my daddy can be himself again.
