My dear friend Brian and his family lost , his dad today. Buck was one of the hardest working men I have ever personally met and he has struggled with health issues off and on for quite a few years. Buck's wife Karole (Brian's mom) is such a generous and frankly hysterical person, that my heart aches for her pain right now. Brian was always sensitive and seeking ways to show his love and appreciation for his dad. I remember the work trip Brian told me about that he had his dad attend with him, and Brian's description of his dad's joy while on that retreat continues to resonate with me today, a few years later.
Brian and his family are incredibly close and their bond is one of beauty for families to experience and strive for. Buck recently went on a long vacation with his family to Florida and I know they are forever grate eful for that trip and precious time. Buck and Karole are kind and generous and always made me laugh every time I experienced them! My most recent joy was them attending my wedding! I remember telling Brian that I would assume he would bring his mom since his dad would likely want to pass! Not only did Buck WANT to come, but he insisted and said of course he did, he attended and looked so dapper in his suit! He also still had mints in his pockets from his last attended wedding! We still get a laugh from that! My friends, Kelly, Lori, and Shawn got such a kick out of sitting with Brian and his parents!
Sadly, as with many families, funeral expenses are something we hope to avoid for as long as possible. Buck died today surrounded by his amazing family. Brian and his mother mean so much to me, that I would be remiss to not reach out to assist them in this time. Money is tight for Brian and his family, and picking up the pieces after the loss, can feel daunting. If you would like to donate to Buck's funeral expenses, we would be eternally grateful.
Thanks and Love,
Amy
