On July 6th Pauline was driving in a car with her boyfriend and son through Chino California on their way to San Diego for a family reunion. Pauline was sleeping while her boyfriend drove when a semi tanker truck jack knifed and hit her car causing the car to roll over 6 times down a mile stretch of I-5.

Pauline was airlifted as a trauma patient to a hospital in Chico California, from there she was airlifted to UC Davis in Sacramento California where she has undergone two surgeries on her right hand. During the accident Pauline lost her pinky & ring finger on her right hand. Currently Pauline is awaiting her 3rd surgery for skin grafting on her palm as her main artery in her hand is exposed. After this surgery she is hoping to come home, back to Washington, where she will have to undergo Physical Therapy.

Pauline's boyfriend and son were not seriously injured during the accident but have had to travel back to Washington so her boyfriend can return to work as they will be faced with bills to pay in the coming months.

Pauline is the most wonderful, beautiful, vibrant, selfless person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I can speak for myself and all her co-workers when I say a little piece of our heart is missing while she is away. The day is not the same without Pauline here and we want to help her get home.

During this whole situation Pauline has exuded the upmost strength and positivity. She has stayed strong for her son and continued to fight every day to stay hopeful and happy. She continues to possess a wonderful outlook on life and has not let her quirky, vivacious personality go.  Pauline is a hero, the definition of strong and someone we all look up to and look for when we need a good laugh, a big smile and a great joke.
