Help Carmen get her prosthetic legs

Loving mother, grandmother, friend, sister and daughter. Our mom Maria del Carmen Maya Perez needs help. Our mom has always been a hard worker and amazing role model for us. She has been in the United States for 32 years, unfortunately she is still currently undocumented and with that means she doesn’t qualify for Medicaid and cannot afford insurance. Our mother has always been a woman to show empathy for others and always willing to give the shirt off her back for those in need. We’ve decided to create this go fund for our mom because her circumstances have changed, although she was managing being diagnosed with diabetes for the last 25 years the last five year has change her life forever. Our mom has had both legs amputated and is wheel chair bound. We need help giving our mom her dream of being able to walk again with today’s technology and resources she is in need prosthetics. Our mom has recently become a single mom again and left to care with our younger siblings. As you can imagine these circumstances can take a toll emotionally, mentally and physically. We are working around the clock to make sure our mom makes her dialysis appointments 3 times a week and we ensure out younger sisters and mom have what they need and although we have families of our own this will take a toll on all of us in the long run. Our mom has always been independent, she looks forward for the day to be able to work, drive, take care of her grandchildren and walk on her own. Please consider donating for prosthetics and therapy. Amorosa madre, abuela, amiga, hermana e hija. Nuestra mamá María del Carmen Maya Pérez necesita ayuda. Nuestra madre siempre ha sido una gran trabajadora y un modelo increíble para nosotros. Ella ha estado en los Estados Unidos durante 32 años, desafortunadamente todavía está indocumentada y eso significa que no califica para Medicaid y no puede pagar un seguro. Nuestra madre siempre ha sido una mujer que muestra empatía por los demás y siempre está dispuesta a dar la camisa de su espalda a los necesitados. Decidimos crear este fondo para nuestra madre porque sus circunstancias han cambiado, aunque estuvo manejando el diagnóstico de diabetes durante los últimos 25 años, los últimos cinco años han cambiado su vida para siempre. A nuestra madre le han amputado ambas piernas y está atada a una silla de ruedas. Necesitamos ayuda para darle a nuestra mamá su sueño de poder caminar de nuevo con la tecnología y los recursos de hoy que necesita prótesis. Nuestra madre ha vuelto a ser madre soltera recientemente y se fue a cuidar de nuestros hermanos menores. Como puede imaginar, estas circunstancias pueden afectar emocional, mental y físicamente. Trabajamos día y noche para asegurarnos de que nuestra madre haga sus citas de diálisis 3 veces por semana y nos aseguramos de que las hermanas menores y la madre tengan lo que necesitan y, aunque tenemos familias propias, esto nos afectará a todos en el largo plazo. Nuestra mamá siempre ha sido independiente, espera con ansias el día para poder trabajar, conducir, cuidar a sus nietos y caminar sola. Considere hacer una donación para prótesis y terapia.
