Coach Chris Chick passed away the morning of May 27, 2021.
The Arizona high school football community is shocked by the death of Chandler assistant coach Chris Chick on Thursday. He was 42.
Chris was the run-game coordinator and strength coach on Chandler's five consecutive state championship teams.
"It was what he loved to do. His passion. He was always there for the boys, taking pride in what he does."
"One of the brightest minds in all of Arizona high school football. A Saguaro alum and key member of the coaching staff responsible for making Saguaro what it is today.“
“I’ve been around some good coaches, but he was without question the greatest run-game director in a game.”
Chris was known for his run-game management in games. Chandler has had arguably the most explosive run game in Arizona during its run of five state titles, including the last two Open Division championships.
He will be missed by many, especially his 3 siblings and father.
