Shaggy & Matu Rebuild From Fire

Howdy! I’m Ness Wines & I am here to tell a story about two amazing men that have been affected by a terrible event. Adam Medearis, or Shaggy as most of us know him, & Matt Rogers,, a.k.a. Matu, lost everything that they own in a fire a few days ago. We are trying to raise money to help get them recover.


Anyone that knows these two, will tell you they are the sweetest & most selfless souls. One of them is my best friend & the other the closest thing to a brother that I have. They are always there to lend a helping hand; build something for someone in need, open their home to folks, lend money to friends & family, or just help an old lady across the street. I have known these guys for over a decade & they have been there during the best times, as well in my darkest hours when I needed them most. And I know I’m not the only one.

For a living, Shaggy & Matu build, create, fix & improve things. A few days ago they were on a job s when they got a phone call that their home & land was on fire. The guys having been living in an RV on Shaggy's parents' place for a few years & had built workshop areas close by. An electrical fire broke out & burned the RV, destroying all around it. Shaggy & Matu lost everything. Tools, electronics, clothing, all memorabilia & photos, business records, etc. The tools hit hard, thus the reason for the high goal. These things are hella expensive and are their livelihood. Tools, a computer to run the business & clothes are their first focus.

If you are unable to donate funds, but would like to help, anything you might have to give would be much appreciated. Tools, clothing, electronics, pictures & keepsakes, or a care package would mean a lot. I have shipping info, contact me.  Shaggy & Matu both wear a 30/32 in pants, medium shirt & 10 1/2 in shoes. Matu would appreciate sneakers & sandals. Shaggy would love some Kerrville & tie-dye t-shirts (preferably pre-owned, possessing lots of good juju :D). He could also use some sneakers & work shoes. Going forward, We’ll post a more detailed list of everything that was lost, so people will know specific things they can give.

We’re also going to have a benefit for the guys! We’ll have musicians we all know play favorite Kerrtunes, vendors with their wares & just make a day of fun in the sun! This will be on August 6th at the Irie Bean on South Lamar from 12 noon to…7-ish? If you would like to be involved, please contact me.
