I NEED YOUR HELP TO JOIN ON A MISSIONS TRIP WITH BETHEL ALUMNI STUDENTS AND FILM A DOCUMENTARY OF HOW GOD IS TOUCHING PEOPLE, BUSINESSES, AND HEARTS IN ITALY!!
A few months ago I met a guy at a wedding shower, David Franceschini, and we began chatting and I heard God speak internally "politely stop him (mid conversation) and ask him if he needs funding for anything." So without too much hesitation I stopped him, and asked the question, "Do you need funding for something?" Now this was very vulnerable for me at the time because I didn't have any money to give him so I wrestled with asking because most normal people after being asked "Do you need funding?" expect some cold hard cash to be whipped out or at least using the latest cool app to digitally transfer it. Anyway, I overcame my fear and asked, and he said "Well actually, yea, I've been leading missions trips with my wife to Italy over the past few years with BSSM students to minister to the people and pray over businesses and a lot has changed since we've been going. We feel called to Italy which is why we keep going back and now leading the trips. We've heard testimonies of businesses flourishing and seen people getting healed, and I've miraculously connected with family I've never met while preaching at a conference so we wanted to capture it all on film and do a documentary of what God is doing over there. We also want to do an Italian version of "We Will Not Be Shaken" by Bethel Music and have it professionally produced/mixed/etc. Do you know any videographers or producers?" HA! It just so happened I worked closely with an amazing producer in town, Jeff Schneeweis (produced Bethel Loft Sessions and Steffany Gretzingers "The Undoing" along with bands like Anberlin, Hawthorne Heights and many more), and had been shooting music videos and promo videos for various companies in Northern California, so I offered my services as a donation to shoot the documentary and got him hooked up with the producer in town to record the song. Boom, I was able to "fund" him with my friends and donate my services to shoot the documentary for free! Sometimes our human brains don't understand how God works and that's probably a really good thing....
After a few months of believing funds would come in for flights and expenses, the Franchescini's told me they would be able to fund 1 of the tickets. This was great news but I made a vow with my wife that we wouldn't do things on our bucketlist (travel and ministry) without the other so I said "Thanks, but we still need another ticket for my wife to come or it's a no go." Since getting married I have learned life is wayyy better when you get to be with your wife, doing life, together. I will continue to fight for her, our marriage, and connection even if a good paying boring job or anything else on OUR bucketlist that tries to take me away. So we kept praying for God to provide and sure enough about a month ago, on my birthday, I receive a text from David, "One of our friends randomly asked us if we needed $1,000 (which is the price of 1 ticket) we said YES! and they wrote us a check. Send me both of your drivers license info because we are purchasing your tickets tonight!" Wow. That just happened. So here we are, 5 days before we leave, and in need of $2,000 more to cover our expenses and we believe it will come in because this wasn't my idea....it was God's. He will make it happen because HE is our provider.
