Hi everyone,
My name is Anne, I leave on the Mid North Coast of Australia (on the East coast) midway between Sydney and Brisbane in a coastal village called Nambucca Heads.
I live there with my beautiful 16 year old daughter who is in her second last year at the local High School.
I have been workingin the Community Services Industry for over 10 years untill January 2015 when the Neighbourhood Centre I was working for lost its fundings and had to close.
I have been out of employment since then and haven't had the chance to find a new job.
It is very hard to make ends meet, very frustrating and depressing at time.
I am turning 50 soon and still have many years of active life to give!
I am very enthusiastic about fitness, health and sports in general and practice badminton, yoga, meditation and bootcamp/gym as regularly as possible!
This is why I have decided to retrain and enroll at the local university (Southern Cross University, Coffs Harbour campus) in a Bachelor of Sport and Exercice Science. (http://courses.scu.edu.au/courses/bachelor-of-sport-and-exercise-science/2017#course-content=overview). I have startted last week and it is very exciting!
On completion of my studies, that is at the end of 2019, I am aiming at becoming a fitness instructor and complete further studies to become a registered Exercise Physiologist.
Achieving that goal would mean starting a new career that would probably last to my retirement in a few decades!It would also mean regaining financial ease so I can support my daughter who, then , could be a uni student as well!
Your contribution to this crowdfunding would enable me to buy a laptop much needed as some of my units are online, buy required text books ( Physiology is $140, Anatomy $150 to cite a few!), pay for the printing of handouts and assignments, folders, and some petrol money.
I would be so grateful for your help as this course means a world to me. It will help me to keep on putting healthy food on the table and in our lunchbox, pay my bills without stressing (too much!) and focus on my studies.
