Living with Chronic Lyme Disease

Hello, my name is Bonnie Waterhouse and I'm here to ask for your help with providing assistance to my son, Darren Waterhouse who has been battling long term Lyme Disease and Babesiosis for the last 25 years.
He is currently on a weekly IVIG as well as daily rocephin antibiotics via an IV with a port in his chest.
When the illness is somewhat in check, he is able to work though often dealing with excessive pain. But due to surgery required to receive the IV antibiotics last Fall, he has been suffering horribly with late stage Lyme Disease symptoms again. This includes but not limited to pain and/or numbness in his extremities, neurological issues, sensitivity to light and sound, headaches, insomnia, nausea, memory loss, major cognitive problems and inability to focus.
Because of this devastating illness and it's current effects on his body and abilities, he has been unable to work for over 6 months. Even though an ambulance was called to his place of work (Darren is a licensed mental health clinician) and he tried to go back to work since then, he found it impossible to continue working.
With extensive documentation from his doctor, Darren has been denied long term disability from the disability insurance group TWICE, that he paid into through his company.
Darren has a loving and understanding wife and 2 children. Close friends are doing everything they can and we could never thank them enough for their support. Keeping up with everyday household costs, medicine, a mortgage and other expenses has become very stressful which is a major issue for anyone with Lyme Disease since it will bring on the symptoms even more.
Any monetary help you can provide Darren and his family would be very much appreciated. We also ask for your prayers and positive thoughts during this difficult time. We continue to fight this dreaded disease.
