Reid's Nursing Fund
Hello! Meet Reid. Reid completed our family of 6 on 2/5/2020. Diagnosed with a stroke in utero, we wouldn't learn for months that the stroke caused a catastrophic brain stem injury. Yes, I know exactly what your'e thinking:
How is she alive? I can't answer that. While in the hospital, I met an amazing Chaplain who told me "miracles happen when the Laws of Nature are bent to allow the impossible to exist." and that's my Reid. She has a trach and ventilator, 24/7 care and a small group of dedicated nurses who stood by while both my husband and myself had COVID 19. Unfortunately our nursing coverage has become significantly less and we have been forced to just pay out of pocket. Reid's eyes have taken a pretty drastic turn and we have to go to Little Rock much sooner than anticipated and I cannot tell you how hard those appointments are on us all (big people. little people, extended family, jobs, etc) and no matter what I know, I remember those 10 months vividly and.... ugh....
Our scheduled benefit had to be postponed and it was pretty devastating. We have gone through it all.
I stand in awe of gratitude for all who stood by us since day 1. You will never know how many things we have accumulated just because you wanted to comfort Reid and that makes you my heroes. You are know, you are seen, you are thanked, and you are loved.
