Laurie's Fight To Beat Cancer

Anyone that knows my sister Laurie knows she is an outgoing, adventurous, spur of the moment type person up for anything! She has accomplished so many things in her life so far; from collegiate softball, to receiving her Master's degree in Criminology. It amazes me that she was able to do all of this while traveling and living life to the fullest. Being her twin sister it is hard to not know everything about her-including every mole on her body! Everyone was shocked to hear the news that not only was one of her moles malignant but that it had also spread to her lymph nodes. It was like time just froze and everything had to be put on the back burner-and knowing Laurie I know that is has NOT been easy to do. Anyone that has experienced cancer whether it be yourself or a family member I am sure knows the endless doctors appointments, medications, scans, procedures, surgeries and the list goes on. Laurie just had a major surgery removing clusters of lymph nodes in the affected area-which has resulted in some complications requiring home health care three times a week. Which if you don't know-it's NOT cheap, especially when you are just out of graduate school working your first job. If you can help, anything would be greatly appreciated. Let's get Laurie back on her feet living the adventurous life a young 28 year old should be living!
