Hello! My name is Kaylee Vega and I will be attending SUNY Geneseo in the fall. I am a first of my family to go to college. Ever since elementary school I was always told about how college is where people go if they want a job. To me college is the place where you find your passion, live freely, and create relationships with others that will last you a lifetime. College is the place where you are able to become the person you always dreamed about being. When I found out about SUNY Geneseo, it seemed too good to be true. Some people even told me I had no chance of getting in, and when I did I was told to consider attending a different school instead. I decided that i'm the only person who decides where I go. I applied and to even my surprise I got in. Thankfully, because its a in state school the tuition was below 25k. However, because of hidden fees (don't you just love those) I am not able to fully afford it. I have a mother who is a single parent, who sacrifices everything for her kids. I want to do something for myself to keep her from adding this on to her worry list. My goal is $5,000 which would fully cover the remainder for both Fall and Spring semester. It doesn't matter if you donate money, if you do THANK YOU BEAUTIFUL HUMAN, I want to show my sisters that if you want something, you need to work hard for it.
