WAC 11U All Stars' Regional Tourney

Donation protected
You have heard all the negatives about the Mahoning Valley and in particular, the City of Warren.  However, no matter what outsiders say,  we are prideful group of people...a group of people who believe in ourselves and overcoming any obstacle thrown our way.   We like to call it "Warren Proud."

There is now a group of ten and eleven year old boys from Trumbull County who are taking the "Warren Proud" motto to a new level.

Under the leadership of their manager, Tom "TA" Elder, The Warren Athletic Club's ("WAC") 11U All Star Baseball Team traveled to Fairfield, Ohio during the weekend of July 9th to compete in the Cal Ripken 11U State Baseball Tournament.  After earning two victories on Saturday, the WAC defeated Mill Creek in the finals on Sunday by the score of 16-8 earning its second straight Cal Ripken State Championship.  They also won the 10U State Championship in 2015.

With the victory, the WAC All Stars earned a berth in the Ohio Valley Regional Tournament in Lexington, Kentucky, for a chance to compete in the Cal Ripken 11 U World Series.  The regional tournament takes place July 27-31.  The kids are so excited about the opportunity to represent Ohio, Trumbull County and the City of Warrren in this tournament.

However, as one can imagine, there are costs associated with making this trip to Lexington.  Costs such as hotels, food, and fuel become pretty substantial to the families of these players, especially after incurring these same costs so the kids could compete in the state tournament.

In order to alleviate some of the costs of the trip to the Bluegrass State, we are seeking your help.  Would you please consider making a donation to our GoFundMe account?  The money raised will be distributed equally amongst the players' families to defray the costs of hotel rooms and the fuel to get to and from the tournament.  No gift is too small and any gift would be greatly appreciated.  These are a great group of kids who are determined to win and more importantly, represent our community in a positive manner.  You will not be disappointed.  However, if you can not make a donation, we ask that you pray for the boys' safety during the tournament and for them to return home safely with their families upon the the tournament's conclusion.

Thank you for your consideration.  Go WAC!  We are "Warren Proud!"
