This account is being made by the siblings of Derrick Dircks. Our brother who is also a loving husband and father was hit by a police officer in an umarked car while loading his van after a day at the Gary Indiana Air and Water show with his family on  July10th,2016. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2016/07/11/indiana-officer-charged-with-drunk-driving-after-hit-and-run-in-gary./. 
The incident was a hit and run.Besides healing from his traumatic injuries, his wife and children are healing from witnessing this very traumatic event. While the officer is on paid administrative leave, our brother, the sole provider for his family will be unable to work without pay for a significant amount of time. Please consider helping the Dircks family. Please continue to pray for their healing as well as for the officer and his family during this time.
