Family home DESTROYED IN FIRE

Donation protected
On May 21st our family home of 26years was destroyed in a tragic fire, along with 4 other homes on Diagonal, in St George UT. Yesterday, it was home to my Mother Sylvia, Sister Sarah, brother-in-law Dave and their 3 dogs and 11 chickens, But in the 26 years They have lived there it’s been home to more people than I can count, family, friends, relatives, Neighbor's, and strangers have shared these walls. Anyone who knows my mother Sylvia, Terry, our family, knows That her door is always open to those in transition, those traveling, or those in need. She always made room, had a bed and food to share. Over the years this home at 313 West Diagonal has seen the birth of all 7 grandchildren, death of my Brother, and nearly my Sister, it’s seen triumph and Tragedy. I can Still remember the first day she moved in sitting on the floor with her trying to figure out how to fit everything, how to fix the old floors and make it beautiful. How many gardens she has had, and eggs from the hens, that everyone has shared in, the holidays spent together, crammed so tightly playing games, eating delicious meals, The floods every summer coming down directly into her yard and all her neighbors showing up with sandbags and railroad ties trying to help save the basement. 26 years without a dishwasher, 26 years with 1 bathroom. The tree house, swing, and zip line constructed by uncle Dave, the jumps made for bikes and skateboards, on and on but this is Just a fraction of the life of this HOME!

It’s been devastating for everyone involved in this community tragedy and I know that we are only narrowly comprehending the impact, after only a day, and so I’m reaching out to anyone that has the desire or ability to help. I know they will need help replacing their belongings, everything is gone, from toiletries to clothing, to bedding, furniture, leashes and collars for the dogs etc. and vet cost for Cassie Dog who is still in the emergency vet clinic because of smoke inhalation, the 6 surviving chickens are also in need of burn care.
Everyone has always been so generous and kind over the years, and we are so very grateful for everything, the phone calls, kind thoughts and words mean so much. It really doesn’t matter how big or small, anything helps. Thank you in advance for your donating and for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers!
