Howard Wilcox Medical Fund

Merle and Howard Wilcox are my siser-in-law and brother-in-law and they need our help.  Some of you may know them as long time residents of New Hartford CT.  Others may remeber Howard growing up in Avon CT and Merle in Simsbury CT.  Most of us remember the beautiful wood creations he handcrafted and the special holiday pies he baked for all his family and firends. For me they have been family for almost 50 years.

On  May 27 2016 Howard became suddenly ill and was taken to Hartford Hospitl by ambulance.  Testing revealed end stage lung cancer and brain tumors.  He successfully completed 13 rounds of radiation on his brain but over the past month he has been readmitted to Hartford Hospital for various complications, 

As the medical bills continue to mount up Merle was informed that she was going to have to meet an almost $7000. deductalbe before their insurance took over.  This and all of the other incidental expenses continue to become more and more of a buirden to them.  They need our help to ease this burden and make their last days less stessful.
