Jenny Lee's Medical Crisis

Donation protected
My name is Michelle Spillane and I am asking for help for my daughter Jennifer Zachman.  Until recently, she was an active and healthy mother of two.  She is a massage therapist who lived a healthy lifestyle; eating whole foods and going to the gym with her eleven year old son regularly.

After almost two months of bleeding, Jenn finally went to the hospital emergency room where they told her she was pregnant and having a miscarriage and sent her home.  Two days later, she had to go back.  This time they gave her a blood transfusion and again, sent her home.  For almost four days she was bedridden but she refused to go back to the hospital because they treated her so badly.  Thankfully, one of her close friends literally picked her up over his shoulder and took her to the hospital.  This time, the hospital realized how sick she was in fact, they thought she might die and offered to get her a priest to give her Last Rights.   The hospital had to call me to admit her because she did not have the capacity to admit herself.  She was placed in CCU for several days where they said she was in shock and had sepsis.  Her kidneys and liver were failing and she also needed another transfusion.  She was placed on blood pressure medication as her blood pressure had dropped to 70/30.  She was also anemic and had cellulitis.  They had to give her another blood transfusion.  For the first 24 hours she was barely responsive but then she started rallying. She has Spondylolisthesis and lying in bed created pressure on her back which hurt badly.  After four days in CCU, she was placed in the medical ward where she developed problems with her lungs, one had a blood clot while the other started filling with fluid.  On July 4, after spending twelve days in the hospital, they released her.  She was unable to care for herself or walk without a walker and a lot of help.  On July 7, she went to Stony Brook Medical Center where she was given another blood transfusion and admitted.  She still had lung problems and now it was even harder for her to walk.  On July 12, she was transferred to an acute rehabilitation center.  Although health wise she has improved; physically she has declined.  As of now, she can no longer walk and has to use a wheelchair to get around.  We have no idea how long she is going to be in the rehabilitation facility or what the outcome will be.

Jenn has been unable to work since the beginning of June and it would take a big weight off her shoulders if she didn’t have to worry about money to cover her expenses and provide for her children.  Please help her so she can concentrate on getting better and getting home where she belongs.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.
