Corina Marquez is a young, bright, caring 28 year old. She has such a caring positive attitude and always aims to please the people around her. With such a big heart and willingness to help others, she is always the go to person when you are in need.
Unfortunately, Corina's life came to a complete stop when she got the devastating news that she had Stage IV Colon Cancer with metastases to her liver, she was only 26 years old. On October 2014 she has been fighting for her life each and every day. She keeps an amazing positive attitude no matter her limitations.

About the Diagnosis:

Shoulder pain brought Corina in to see the doctor in October 2014. Ultrasound and scans found many spots in her liver. Further testing and biopsy of the liver led her to have a Colonoscopy. The Colonoscopy revealed a 4cm tumor in the sigmoid colon. She had a port put in on her right side of her chest, because the amount of chemotherapy to be delivered was indefinite. Not knowing what was going on, or otherwise having knowledge about medical issues; Corina began chemotherapy later that October 2014. The Doctor's gave her a 3-6 month period to live with no hope for surgery to remove the primary colon tumor or any of the MANY tumor spots in her liver. Being the positive girl that she is, she went on 100% with her treatments and later became a candidate for surgery in May 2015. After a brutal recovery where she could not walk, bathe, eat or have any sort of sleep, because of pain and 44 staples down from her breast bone to her lower pubic area. It was devasting to see her go through that process. But she remained positive and with STRONG FAITH. After recovery, she underwent four more chemo treatments on an already weak body from surgery and immune system. Being it was Stage IV cancer, Doctor's will never declare you "cancer free". Her oncologist never declared her on remission. She was disease free until blood work and PET/CT scans showed three different sized tumors in her liver. The cancer is back again! Being knowledgeable now of the disease and doing research, Corina has decided to take alternative approach and build up her immune system instead of shooting it down! Knowing Corina and the type of person she is, she is a determined FIGHTER who loves challenges. She is humble to share her story with you all and ask for generous help. Her treatments are rather expensive ($15,000 for 3 months). She will be doing these treatments until we receive amazing results. In addition to that, she has to balance her personal finances, food, and supplements.
Corina's goal is to beat the odds once again, but also share her story with many in order to get the word out about early detection. Corina is doing EVERYTHING she can to FIGHT the FIGHT and live her life one day at a time. Corina is so optimistic to beat this again, with the help of her faith in God and all of her family and friends, YOU! She is asking with much love and hope for your help, positive thoughts and prayers.
With much love and appreciation, her family gives thanks to you for taking the time in reading this. Let's help Corina beat the odds and have her around for many years to come!! Please share with at least 10 of your closest friends and family.

Thank you, and God bless!
