Support help needed for old Gina’s leg surgery

At 16 March Gina came to GRA. After arriving we took her  to the vet for a check up, also an x-ray was taken of her back leg.

Because she was in pain she to take painkillers.

Unfortunately Gina tested positive for Leish so she needed a treatment with allopurinol/ leisguard/ milteforan.

After a few weeks of treatment our vet examined her completely and a new blood analysis showed that Gina also had anemia. So she needed additional nutritional supplements. The rest of her blood test was fine, no damage to the organs, we don't give up and fight together with her.

The treatment to control her Leish takes a lot of energy from her body in combination with her age and arthritis.

Because certain values of her blood weren’t good she got extra medication.

A week ago Gina’s new bloodtest shows no active Leish anymore. So at the moment she only has to take Allopurinol, Domperidona and extra vitamins. Refular blood tests will be done to keep evaluating the Leish values.

Because she gain enough weight and she’s stable now we took her to the traumatologist to see what can be done for Gina’s leg. Apparently she was born with a knee problem. Because this poor girl lived all her live in very bad  circumstances it got worse and worse and she was not able anymore to use her leg. We knew there were 2 options, an amputation or try to fix her knee and save her leg.

Luckily it’s the second option, the traumatologist is able to save Gina’s leg. Because she’s in pain the surgery is planned for next Thursday early in the morning. Costs for surgery, medication, ..... will be 700€. All help / support is needed to cover these costs.
