I never thought I would be writing this again, but here we are. If you know me, you know this is one of the hardest things that I’ve done.

Since October, Mike has been out of work. I am working two jobs and doing everything I possibly can to keep our family afloat but it’s not enough to keep up with our current rent.

Our rent is extremely high, and I’m doing my best to just make it to May, when our lease is up. At that point, I can find something more affordable for my family. I’m not asking for long-term help… I just need help getting us through the next few months.

I recently had to have a heartbreaking conversation with my girls about the possibility of moving in with my family, who do not live in New Jersey. They are devastated. This is their home. Their school. Their friends. I am trying with everything in me to keep them here so they can finish the school year where they feel safe and settled.

I also have a court date for our apartment on January 7th, and I am doing everything in my power to avoid losing our home.

Asking for help is incredibly hard for me. I work constantly, and I hate feeling like a burden. But right now, I don’t have any other options, and I’m trying to do what’s best for my children.
