Ashton Strong - BTHO Leukemia

Ashton is Strong - BTHO Leukemia!

His story began on July 22, 2016 a seemingly unremarkable summer day that would forever change The Wolf family.

Ashton had spent the summer getting ready and looking forward to his Freshman year at Round Rock High School. He was enthusastic about having the opportunity to walk in his family's footsteps of being a RRHS Dragon Football player. Throughout the early summer Ashton enjoyed hanging out, playing ball outside and engaging in other social activities with his close friends and family; nothing out of the ordinary.

This particular week Ashton stated that he "did not feel well." The over zealous teen had a fever for several days. Initially, the fever responded to the usual anti-febrile measures, but then surged into an all out war. His fever spiked to over 103 degrees, it was at this time a teenage boy asked to go the the hospital.

Thinking he would get some fluids, perhaps some anti-biotics and head home to recover it was difficult to process the nightmare that came next. . . . "Your son has a form of leukemia."

"He needs to be life flighted to Dallas Childrens Hopsital immediately."

"He is in critical condition."

Leukemia?
Critical?
What? Ashton, is this right?

Within the first twenty-four hours of arriving at Dallas Children's Hospital Ashton underwent a PICC line placement, bone marrow biopsy with spinal tap and a battery of blood work. The studies revealed the final diagnosis:

T-CELL ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA.

There was no questioning in his mind EVER! Ashton was always told he was a fighter, he was always told he was a warrior. He made up in his mind he would win this fight. He is Ashton Strong!

Ashton will undergo treatment for the next three years. The Wolf family needs help to make this journey less of a financial strain. Medical bills, cost of medications, and cost of travel to and from treatments have quickly piled up. Any monetary donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to BTHO Leukemia!

Please foward to your friends and family and thank you for your prayers and support.
