Help Bangie and Tootie Through the Storm of Cancer
My name is Midge Mohler and I am trying to raise money to help my parents. My dad, Bangie, was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. Following a tough bought of shingles my dad began to have gastro intestinal issues. He finally got in with the Dr after a wait of several months only find that he has a large 7cm tumor in his colon, the size of a baseball. The tumor has perferated the intestinal wall and will be removed tomorrow, April 26. While we do ask for your prayers, my parents also need your help.
My parents story begins much further back. In my teen and college years, my parents were very successful and helped many different people either through networking, finances, or wisdom. They took in people and kids who were homeless or in trouble and helped them.
Many of you in the past have been helped or touched by my parents in some way. I am asking you to return the kindness they showed you and pitch together and help them through this new storm in their life.
What you may not know is that about 14 years ago my parents lost everything. Their home and their business. Since then they have been struggling with the help of their family to make ends meet. Now they have been dealt a blow fianancially that cannot be overcome without help from you.
The recovery from this surgery is 8 weeks. During this time my parents need help with everyday living expenses such as rent, groceries, bills, etc. These funds are needed almost immediately. They hoped for time but the doctors said this surgery is needed immediately.
I know that many of you have already contacted asking for ways to help. This is a way that you can help. Even the smallest amount added with another's can add up and help to tear down the mountain of bills and expenses.
My parents have modeled kindness and generosity my whole life. They have made a deep impact on my life and I know on several of your lives. Helping them through this storm of life means the world to them. I know that while my dad is a proud man, he will be humbled and deeply touched by your outpouring of support.
Thank you and God bless.
