Hello my name is Karen Munro and this GoFundMe account is for the beautiful soul in the photo above. Her name is Kathy Kinderman. She has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. She needs our help! Kathy's health insurance is woefully inadequate to deal with the outragously high cost of breast cancer treatment. Since she is self-employed, her income is totally dependant on her ability to work. It is predicted that her 12 months of treatment will impair her ability to work so she will have no income.

I've known Kathy for more than 35 years and have watched her face adversity head on with humor and grace. Kathy is not a whiner nor a complainer. For the past 45 years, she has worked as a professional hair dresser, so you can imagine how often the opportunity to experience negativity occurs in her daily routine. She is often on her feet for 10 or more hours a day, cutting hair and saving souls at her aptly named Soul Scissors Salon. Her hands are sore and chapped from the magic her clients expect and receive. For the majority of her career, she has worked in her own shop, with all the financial burdens that entails. Over the years, she has become for so many of us a true friend, counselor, cheerleader, sounding board, mother, sister and so much more. Her unparalleled positive attitude and wicked sense of humor (that has saved so many of us) will go far in aiding her recovery. So far, so good! Let's keep that beautiful face smiling.
Kathy is one of those rare individuals who is always looking out for others. She is exceptionally outgoing, fun loving and wildly funny. She is a party on heels! A great cook and homemaker, she is a single mother of four grown children and eight grandchildren. Okay, this is beginning to sound like an application for a dating service, so I'll get to the point - NOW is the time to go to the "donate" button and give any amount you can afford.
