On July 5th, my son Conrad tragically lost his mother, Wendy .   A tragedy of this magnitude is often times hard to comprehend and even more difficult to move forward with as an adult.    The strength and poise that Conrad has shown in the face of this senseless and inexplicable act as a young man amazes me and I am humbled.  

Conrad’s mother started this journey with our son by giving him an incredible heart and compassion for others.  It is these strengths that will serve him well as he walks through this tragedy and in to manhood, preserving the beautiful heart that she created.   

Many of you are familiar with Conrad and his story, either through close personal knowledge or simply have read about it in the news.  As Conrad’s father, I now find myself in the position of caring for our 14 year old boy full time.  The kindness expressed in condolences and desires to help have touched us more than you could ever imagine.   It is with the urging of people like you, his friends, family and community, that has prompted the creation of this GoFundMe account to assist in his recovery.   Funds raised will cover new schooling, medical treatment, counselling and his move from all that is familiar to him.  Your unconditional love and support is greatly appreciated during this most difficult time in Conrad’s young life.
