I live in Surprise, AZ. I was born deaf and when I was 5, I moved to America and my parent gave me a hearing aid. When i was 8 years old, my parents wanted me to hear and communicate better with my family. So, as a result I got the cochlear implant and I love it cause all my life, I can hear almost everything but not always. Both my parent side of the family can be able to communicate with me since then I can hear them clearly, and I can talk very well.
I have freedom cochlear since 2008 but recently my cochlear broke but I have a warranty for that, so I called cochlear company and ask for the new replace part. They said they don’t make anymore freedom cochlear or the part, but they have told me that they upgraded the new cochlear implant and everything is updated; so I’m stuck. I asked the cochlear company about how to get a new one or replace the old one to the newer model.
The reason I am raising money for the new cochlear is because I want to be able to hear and continue communicating with my family, so I don’t miss out on what the conversation is about, but not just for family also for my work as well. I work as Behavior Health Technical in Phoenix.
The cost of the cochlear will be closer to $10,000. I used to always listen to music and could communicate at my work all the time. Since I’m deaf and the cochlear has been broken, I can’t hear anything at all. If you support me to donation for my new cochlear and I will thank you forever and can’t express how much I really appreciate your support. The more support, the sooner I get the new cochlear implant.
