Holt Family-Medical Care & Expenses

My name is Teresa Holt. I live in Hillsboro and work in Tullahoma. My husband Bobby and I, have always supported the community and donated items and given monetary donations to different charities. We have never had to ask for help, so this is hard for me. I am always the one trying to help others. People who know me can contest to that. Bobby Holt (on right in picture) was lifeflighted on May 12, 2016 from Harton Hospital in Tullahoma. He had a severe case of Sepsis (Septic Shock) alledgely from a tick bite. Upon my arrival at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, they told me to call family and friends in as he only had a 20% chance of living. How could this be? He just went to work the day before? He is (was?) employed by the State of TN Correction Academy in Tullahoma for only a few months prior to this unexpected event. When I saw him in the emergency room, he had turned purple from head to toe, then charcoal black in other areas. He was on a ventilator and continous dialysis, had a heart attack as all the organs in his body started to clot. He spent 5 weeks in Centennial Hospital. By the grace of God and all the prayers, he survived. However, Bobby had to have parts of his legs and both feet amputated. His kidneys have not recovered, so he goes to dialysis 3 times a week. It makes him very sick and weak. He was transferred to a nursing home, which unfortunately did not work out for him. Bobby is currently at home recovering from his sudden illness. My problem is that I have to work to keep things going. Plus, I have rods in my back and bad knees among other medical problems. I barely make enough to cover the household bills and he is not bringing in any income. We need help. Help with hiring a sitter, medical bills, basic care, transportation expenses, insurance premiums, lawn care, his personal bills, etc.  Our future is uncertain, so I can't estimate how much help we will need. He needs a sitter most important at this time and most charge between $10-$15 an hour. His recovery will be a long one, however, we plan to bounce back from this set back.
