Chris Welch Jr Medical Fund

Dear reader,

I am a member of the Mohawk Valley Bicycling Club.

On August 23, 2016 we received the devastating news that club member and accomplished racer Chris Welch Jr (17) was in a serious bike accident.

Chris Welch Sr informed us that he was airlifted to Upstate and is in pretty tough shape. The good news is is that he does not have a brain injury; he has a cervical fracture but can move his arm and legs though. He has several other broken bones. "He has a long road to recovery but is a determined kid."

The club will be supporting them in as many ways as we can. All our thoughts, wishes, and prayers are with Chris and his family at this horrific time.

We're currently hoping to fund gas cards because the hospital is over an hour away from his home; as he recovers it is our sincere wish to lessen the burden placed upon his family at this difficult time.
