On Friday morning there was an attempted break in of our house and our cats were set loose.
Somehow Momo must have gotten out of the yard and got hit by a car.
Chenoa was woken from a nightmare where Momo was sick and her little ginger kitten heart died in her arms only to find upon waking both the cats missing. Mushi, she spotted in the yard and he ran up to her to alert her about Momo. She was under a bush unable to stand, meowing softly.
Poor Momo was in shock, having fractured her pelvis but somehow managed to drag herself home where we could find her just in time. The vets said if it was half an hour later she would have been dead.
She needs surgery and strict cage rest for the next two months. The surgery and all the vet time is terribly, terribly expensive. Thankfully we managed to find a vet who will do the surgery on Wednesday. If that goes well, and she's okay in the crate then her prognosis is good.
All of your amazing generosity and support has helped us save our little baby. She is the heart of our home and the better part of ourselves.
Words cannot express how amazingly grateful we are for all of you who are helping us through this horrible time.
Thank you all so very very much.
Please hold your loved ones and fur children tight.
We will continue to post updates, information and pictures as they happen.
Much love,
❤️❤️
