This breaks my heart to make knowing that my dad being so young at the age of 49 passed away. After working all his life dealing with diabetes for almost 20 years his body finally gave up. I know he fought the hardest he could. After his first heart attack we weren’t sure what to do or think. And just last week he finally woke up from his coma and it was less than a week that I was able to FaceTime him and see him proud of me while I was out still working while he was in the hospital. My dad would always stress about work and I know him seeing me out working and taking care of the family brought joy and relief to him. My mom and sisters all saw you Saturday and me and my brother were working so we couldn’t visit you. Sunday morning me and my brother were going to visit him. But early in the morning my mom got the call at 4am that he suffered another heart attack, they were able to revive him but he was not stable. Then he had another one at 8 in the morning. The doctors revived him and told us if we want to see him alive to go now. Just as we got there he suffered his last and finally heart attack. We were sitting in the lobby waiting to go see you when the nurse came out and said my dad died. He fought till the end. I know he tried. Seeing my dads body lay lifeless was one of the hardest things I had to do. You were my best friend you taught me right from wrong. You grew me as a man and showed me everything I know. I will forever be appreciative for what you left me and would never take your sacrifice for granted. My mom received the worst Mother’s Day news possible. The love of her life is gone. I would normally not ask for anything but seeing my mom so stressed and sad at the same time and how extremely expensive it is just to lay my father down to rest, I don’t want her to worry about anything. I don’t ask for much but anything would help. Thank you to everyone who reached out. May Roberto Lara finally Rest In Peace. I love you dad.
